Globally more than US$59 billion has been allocated to responsible investment according to a survey by the Alternative Investment Management Association.
A survey of 80 asset managers with $550 billion in hedge fund assets under management showed more than 10 per cent of the respondents' combined hedge fund assets under management where allocated to responsible investment. Significantly, one-in-five firms said they are now committing at least 50% of their firms’ assets to responsible investment.
Additionally the survey showed that firms had seen approximately 50 percent increase in demand from investors in the past year. Half of European firms reported increased investor interest in the last year, while more than 70 percent of North American firms reported the same.
